Ethereum Mobile Game ‘Legends of the Guild’ Unveils Exciting New Expansion
Immutable Games is set to launch an expansion for their popular mobile trading card role-playing game, Legends of the Guild. The highly anticipated expansion called “Frostmire” will introduce a frosty new environment, complete with snowy mountains and frozen plains.
One of the most exciting features of the expansion is the introduction of two new legendary Guardians: Lisca and Dolvir. Lisca, a skilled ranged hunter with a witty sense of humor, hails from the icy lands of Frostmire and has a sweet tooth for treats. Dolvir, on the other hand, is a powerful warrior-style guardian known for his commanding offensive abilities. Players will have the opportunity to acquire these formidable Guardians through the Altar of Sacrifice or by purchasing them.
The upcoming expansion has generated significant buzz among players and fans, with the official Twitter account teasing the release with an enigmatic message and date. The Frostmire expansion is scheduled to go live on October 16 and promises to immerse players in a captivating narrative experience.
Chris Clay, Game Director of Legends of the Guild, commented on the new Guardians, stating that Lisca possesses deadly ranged attacks and skills, while Dolvir has the ability to disrupt enemy ranks and summon pets for added damage and support.
Legends of the Guild is a mobile app available on iOS and Android that allows players, known as “Commanders,” to lead a group of Guardians through challenging dungeons. As Commanders clear dangerous locales, they gain experience, valuable loot, and level up their squad.
The game combines trading card elements with NFT-based Guardians on the Ethereum scaling network, Immutable zkEVM, and draws inspiration from popular auto-battler games like Riot’s Teamfight Tactics while maintaining its roots in the roguelite genre.
Clay also revealed that the development team plans to add new regions to the game every four to six months, taking into consideration player progression and the balance between new expansions and live events.
“We want each expansion to have a compelling narrative that engages players and encourages them to explore the game’s world,” added Clay. “Frostmire provides a rich new location for players to conquer, test their skills, and uncover surprises.”
In addition to the new environment and Guardians, the Frostmire expansion will introduce fresh enemies, captivating music, and various surprises to add a sense of novelty and excitement to the game. Alongside these additions, players can expect level-7 equipment and gear, offering enhanced combat boosts for their Guardians. And for those seeking a competitive edge, a limited-time event is on the horizon.
