EU requires tagging of AI-generated content

  • Users should clearly distinguish them from “human” pictures and texts
  • The Europeans also suggest regulating AI like medicine or the nuclear industry

The European Union continued to discuss additional measures that would make AI tools clearer to the public and reduce fakes.

One idea was put forward by European Commission Deputy Chief Vera Jurowa. It suggests tagging content created by neural networks. According to the politician, this will help combat “fake news.”

That is, if the law passes, all such texts and photos will be labeled “AI-generated” (or something similar). (or something like that).

This raises another problem: content theft.. So Jurowa suggests that companies that integrate neural networks should strengthen their content protection against copying or downloading.

A short time ago, UK Labour Party spokeswoman Lucy Powell filed her proposal. She believes that firms working on neural networks should be regulated along the same lines as pharmaceuticals, medicine or the nuclear industry.

Labour Party chief Keir Starmer will meet with British Google representatives next week to talk about AI.

By the way, it was revealed today that IQ Capital has raised $400 million for Deep Tech AI firms.. This is the famous London-based venture capital fund. They are ready to make Britain the center of new technologies.
