Fidelity joins race to file updated spot bitcoin ETF forms with SEC, sets fund’s sponsor fee at a low 0.39%

Fidelity has joined the race to file updated forms for a spot Bitcoin ETF with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The asset management giant, along with BlackRock and VanEck, submitted the amended forms ahead of the January deadline for potential approval. Fidelity disclosed that its proposed fund would have a sponsor fee of just 0.39%, which is currently the lowest among the competitors. Invesco, on the other hand, announced a sponsor fee of 0.59% with plans to waive it for the first six months. Other asset managers, including Valkyrie, Bitwise, WisdomTree, and Franklin Templeton, also updated their applications with the SEC. The industry has been eagerly awaiting the approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF by the SEC for several years.
