Google Chrome Vulnerability Exploited by North Korean Hackers, Microsoft Warns

Microsoft issued a warning after detecting a group of North Korean hackers exploiting a vulnerability in Google Chrome. The cyber group, known as Citrine Sleet, used advanced tactics, such as creating fake cryptocurrency websites, to execute their attacks. Microsoft published a report identifying the vulnerability as a zero-day flaw in the Chromium browser, which allowed the attackers to remotely execute malicious code on compromised devices. Citrine Sleet is believed to be linked to another North Korean threat group, Diamond Sleet, and is known for targeting the cryptocurrency sector. Microsoft emphasized the importance of promptly updating operating systems and applications to defend against such cyber threats.
