Historic Moment for Binance: A Cryptocurrency Exchange Surpasses 200 Million Users – Statement from Richard Teng
Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, has made history by announcing that it now has over 200 million registered users globally. This significant milestone comes just two years after the platform reached the 100 million user mark.
Expressing his gratitude to the platform’s vast user base, Binance CEO Richard Teng said, “We have reached 200 million Binance users. This milestone would not be possible without you, our incredible community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
Teng further added, “The journey to 1 billion users continues. Let’s continue to grow and thrive together.”
Richard Teng, a renowned industry expert from Singapore, was chosen by Binance to support global compliance efforts in 2021 and took over the role from Changpeng Zhao in November. Teng, having initially joined Binance as the CEO of Binance Singapore, was later appointed as the head of regional markets in May after serving as MENA president.
Prior to his tenure at Binance, Teng served as the CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market.
