Investigation Launched into Cryptocurrency Fraud in Republic of Mordovia

Law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Mordovia are conducting an investigation into the fact of fraud – a 26-year-old resident of Saransk encountered fraudsters who pretended to be cryptobrokers.

The victim said that in April he decided to “get super profits” by trading cryptocurrencies.

To do this, the young man did not register on well-known cryptocurrency exchanges, but used the services of a small platform.

A personal manager of the site helped the novice investor to register.

During the month the victim deposited his brokerage account in various amounts and traded cryptocurrencies.

But when at the end of May the young Saranchan decided to withdraw funds, his personal account was blocked. The site’s personal manager has also stopped contacting me.

The factory worker realized that he was a victim of fraudsters, having lost 823 500 rubles for nothing. A man went to the police.

Now law enforcement agencies are trying to establish all the circumstances of the case and look for fraudsters.

Recently, it was reported that a resident of Omsk transferred over 1 million rubles to a “platform for earning money on mining cryptocurrencies,” but the platform turned out to be fraudulent.
