  • This famous London-based venture capital firm
  • is poised to make Europe the center of a “neurotechnology revolution.”

IQ Capital’s venture capital fund has raised $400 million to fund startups in artificial intelligence and robotics. They will channel such capital into the narrow niche of Deep Tech AI. It’s a general term for advanced technologies such as AI, blockchain and quantum computing.

In its press release, IQ Capital states that Deep Tech companies will be the main drivers of future progress. They believe Britain and Europe will play a leading role in this.

“Breakthroughs in ‘new AI’ models, new energy and climate, robotics and space technology, quantum computing, synthetic biology all demonstrate the significant opportunities that Deep Tech now offers”

The European Union introduced the European Innovation Program last year. They plan to boost the number of advanced technology startups and attract 45 billion euros.

Crypta and AI

On June 1, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase unveiled a report on venture capital investment in startups related to AI tokens. They believe that the intersection of neural networks and cryptography provides a powerful opportunity for businesses wishing to operate in the Web3. So far, such crypto-projects account for only 0.07% of the total capitalization of the crypto market. But analysts predict that their number will soon begin to grow dramatically.
