Kraken unveiled its own NFT marketplace

  • It was previously in beta mode
  • Now the platform is available to everyone
  • Already added over 250 NFT collections

Kraken crypto exchange has officially launched its NFT marketplace. There are 250 collections available in Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon networks. Including the Reddit avatars that made quite a stir.

The company has been testing the NFT marketplace in beta since November. Initially, a selection of 70 premium NFT collections on Ethereum and Solana was available there. For example, CryptoPunks and BAYC tokens could be purchased here.

After Kraken’s broad launch, NFT added more “modest” art tokens, which are available for under $100.

The marketplace dropped commissions for customers who trade tokens within the platform. But when transferring NFTs to other sites or personal wallets, a gas fee will need to be paid.

Users can buy art tokens for fiat or cryptocurrency (over 200 different coins). Kraken has now integrated MetaMask and Solana Phantom wallets, and will soon add WalletConnect.

The marketplace is searchable with convenient filters for rarity, collections, minimum price, and more.

The firm is also preparing a promotion with the Williams Racing Formula One team. The winner will get the opportunity to put their NFT on one of the race cars. The company will provide details later.

Remind that Kraken refused to “leak” user data to the U.S. IRS.
