LayerZero integrates the Scroll test network

  • The protocol was previously deployed on the main Arbitrum Nova network
  • Scroll is the L2 shell for Ethereum
  • LayerZero integration will make the network part of a larger ecosystem
  • His users will have access to an easy and simple cross networking tool

LayerZero Labs announced yesterday, June 14 that its protocol was successfully integrated into the zkEVM Scroll testbed. This will significantly expand the project’s audience.

A corresponding announcement from LayerZero Labs has appeared on the official page of the organization.. Prior to that, the protocol was successfully deployed in the mainnet by Arbitrum Nova.

LayerZero and Scroll

As for LZ, it is an interconnection protocol.. The service allows you to “transfer” tokens from one network to another as quickly and efficiently as possible, using lightweight ZRO nodes.

Scroll, in turn, is an L2 shell on top of Ethereum, designed to scale the ecosystem. We also have a guide on this network, you can explore it:

What does LayerZero integration mean in practice?

It’s a big step forward for the protocol community. In total, the platform supports more than 30 networks, greatly increasing its audience reach.

Integration with Scroll will give LayerZero access to the EVM environment and smart contracts. And the network, in turn, will get an effective analogue of a bridge with a lot of potential.
