Liquid Staking Derivatives Lose Ground With Over 380,000 ETH Withdrawn in April

Liquid staking derivatives (LSD) protocols have experienced a significant withdrawal of 380,000 ether, valued at around $1.17 billion, since the beginning of April 2024. This comes after a downturn in March, raising concerns about the future of these LSD platforms. The total value locked in these protocols now stands at approximately $41.5 billion, with Lido holding 71.41% of that value. Rocket Pool remains a significant player, accounting for around 8.58% of the locked ether. The ongoing exodus of ether from LSD platforms has created uncertainty regarding the future of these protocols and highlights the unpredictable nature of the DeFi market.
