- This is a modular toolkit on top of the zkSync Era
- It makes “hyperchains”
- This is how Matter Labs wants to create an ecosystem of interconnected blockchains
- The project is a direct competitor to Optimism
Matter Labs development studio unveiled a new product called ZK Stack yesterday, June 26. It will use recursive scaling and so-called “hyperchains” to create a single ecosystem of compatible protocols.</nbsp;
“Check out ZK Stack: your modular framework for creating individual hyperchains based on ZK and open source Era,” Matter Labs noted in their publication.
ZkSync Era, launched in late March, will be the first “hyperchain” of the new ecosystem. With the toolkit, users will be able to run their own “offshoots” of both L2 and L3.
Nets will be componentized and interoperable, allowing for instant liquidity and credit transfer between protocols. Alex Gluchowski, co-founder and CEO of zkSync, said in a comment for Cointelegraph that the project aims to eliminate “insecure” bridging solutions.. We mentioned this strategy in a piece about the rebranding of the network and the Bedrock update.
