- Cryptocurrency exchange apps Binance and OKX have been removed from the Play Store in India due to recent changes introduced regarding crypto exchanges.
- The Financial Intelligence Unit of India (FIU) stated that these exchanges, including Binance, were conducting illegal activities and must register as reporting entities to comply with regulations.
- However, existing clients can still access and use the services of these exchanges.
It should be noted that this is not the first time Binance and other crypto exchanges have faced restrictions in India, as their applications were previously removed from the App Store as well.
