Meme Coins Back on the Bullish Train: Altcoins Take a Step Back

Meme Coins Rally as Altcoins Take a Backseat

In the exciting world of digital assets, meme coins have seen a remarkable surge in the past 24 hours. Leading the pack are Shiba Inu (SHIB), Popcat (POPCAT), dogwifhat (WIF), and First Neiro on Ethereum (NEIRO), all experiencing significant gains. While altcoins also saw some gains, meme coins stole the spotlight.

According to CoinMarketCap, the market capitalization of meme coins has reached an impressive $55 billion, marking a 7.9% increase in the past day. Moreover, the sector’s total trading volume stands at a whopping $10.2 billion. This surge has also contributed to the overall valuation of the crypto space, which now sits at $2.19 trillion.

Notably, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), the most valuable meme coins with valuations of $16.18 billion and $10.5 billion respectively, have experienced gains of 2.55% and 5.45% over the past 24 hours. In the last week, DOGE rose by 1.40%, while SHIB saw a 1.5% increase. As of now, these digital currencies are trading at $0.1106 and $0.00001786 respectively.

A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by SHIB KNIGHT highlighted Shiba Inu’s price action, depicting a “W” shape pump. This pattern indicates that the price initially dropped from a high of $0.00002169 to a low of $0.00001548, then surged to $0.00001885, and subsequently fell to $0.00001605. Should SHIB surpass $0.00002, the W pattern will be complete.

Other prominent meme coins, such as Pepe (PEPE), POPCAT, WIF, and NEIRO, have also experienced significant surges of 5.5%, 7.9%, and 35.2% respectively within the past 24 hours. NEIRO, with a market cap of $891 million and a trading volume above $1 billion, currently trades at $0.002109 after a staggering 105.2% surge in the past week.

POPCAT is currently valued at $1.42, while WIF and PEPE stand at $2.71 and $0.059837, respectively. Additionally, SPX6900 (SPX) witnessed an extraordinary 60% surge and is now trading at $0.8267.
