“More than 60% of Ukrainians do not trust cryptocurrencies” – CEO of crypto exchange WhiteBIT Vladimir Nosov

  • Head of Europe’s largest stock exchange with Ukrainian roots opened Incrypted online marathon
  • Nosov spoke about the factors of industry development in Ukraine and the importance of educational initiatives

Today the Incrypted team holds the Incrypted Conference 2023 global online marathon all day.. The first speaker here was the head of the WhiteBIT crypto exchange Vladimir Nosov. The topic of his speech was cryptocurrency in Ukraine and how this industry can help with the post-war reconstruction of the country.</nbsp;

In Nosov’s opinion, the key factors for the industry development in Ukraine are:</nbsp;

  • clear and clear legislation;
  • transparent judiciary;
  • conditions for capital attraction;
  • global acceptance and understanding of the industry.</nbsp;

In his speech Nosov mentioned several initiatives for the sector development in Ukraine from WhiteBIT. First of all, the exchange gives preference to Ukrainian specialists. The second is that the company actively participates in educational initiatives.

As for adoption, Nosov sees a significant problem in that the majority of Ukrainians do not understand how this technology works:

“We conducted a sociological question on Ukraine, and it showed that only about 5-8% of people understand what it is about.. They invested in cryptocurrency and tried to understand the technology. More than 60% do not trust the blockchain industry. They consider cryptocurrencies a scam, a pyramid, etc.. That is, more than 60% do not understand that it is not about the pyramid, that it is about technology. That this is a completely new financial world.”

Nosov believes that to come to mass-adoption, people must be educated. And that means even more educational courses and talking to people in general. Only then will technology in our country develop.
