Mysten Labs Denies Plans for Free Distribution of Tokens for Sui Blockchain Project

Mysten Labs, the company behind the development of the Sui blockchain project, has made it clear that there will be no free distribution of tokens.

The co-founder of the company, Adeniyi Abiodun, took to Twitter to dismiss rumors of an impending airdrop and stated that there will never be one.

The Sui blockchain promises high bandwidth and low-cost transactions and is set to launch a test network soon. Users who participate in the test network will be rewarded for their activity.

Despite the company’s announcement, some members of the cryptocurrency community continue to speculate about the possibility of an airdrop.

X DAO founder Rekt Fencer even went as far as to claim that Sui’s potential airdrop would be the biggest in the history of cryptocurrencies and started giving advice on how to participate.

However, Abiodun’s response was unequivocal and put an end to the rumors. In March, Mysten Labs was in talks with FTX’s interim administration regarding a proposed deal that would provide mutual relief to both parties.

As part of the agreement, FTX would sell approximately $95 million worth of Mysten shares. However, it remains to be seen whether the deal will be finalized.

For now, the focus is on the upcoming launch of the Sui blockchain’s test network and the rewards that will be offered to users who participate.
