‘Notcoin’ Game Hits 30 Million Telegram Players as NOT Airdrop Nears

‘Notcoin’ Game Attracts 30 Million Telegram Players as NOT Airdrop Approaches

A unique clicker game called Notcoin, developed within the messaging app Telegram, has been steadily gaining popularity as it prepares for its upcoming token airdrop. The game recently achieved significant milestones in terms of total players and daily active users.

According to internal data, Notcoin has amassed an impressive user base of over 30 million players on Telegram since its inception. Moreover, the game reached a new high on Wednesday, with more than 5 million players active in a single day.

Although these figures are based on the game’s internal data and cannot be independently verified on the blockchain, the level of interest surrounding Notcoin is evident from the large number of players competing on the in-game leaderboards. Players have been tapping on the radiant golden coin for weeks or even months in anticipation of the upcoming crypto reward.

In the near future, Notcoin will take its trillions of in-game coins onto The Open Network, the blockchain platform initially established by Telegram before being taken over by community developers in 2020.

Representatives of the game have stated that the token generation event and subsequent airdrop to players will occur in late March or early April. However, players who have not logged in for an extended period may find their accumulated coins significantly reduced, as Notcoin employs a 5% daily “burn” of inactive account balances after 30 days.

Recently, Notcoin introduced an option for top players to convert their substantial in-game coin balances into NFT vouchers, which can be traded prior to the official token launch. These vouchers, obtained for 10 million or 100 million in-game coins, can be redeemed for NOT tokens once they are available on-chain.

This development enables crypto traders to speculate on the potential future value of Notcoin before the token generation event. Currently, NFT vouchers representing 10 million in-game coins are trading for around $25 worth of Toncoin (TON) on the GetGems marketplace.

The largest voucher sale to date involved 100 million Notcoin coins, which sold for 1,100 TON, equivalent to approximately $4,180 at the time. In total, the vouchers have generated a trading volume of 1.2 million TON, or slightly over $5 million at the current price.

In a recent announcement, The Open Network revealed plans to launch a $115 million incentives program aimed at attracting developers and users to the network. The program will feature apps offering free tokens through simple mining mechanics, inspired by successful games like Notcoin.
