OKX Ventures, Aptos Foundation Initiate $10M Fund for the Move-Based Layer-1 Ecosystem

OKX Ventures and the Aptos Foundation have joined forces to establish a $10 million fund aimed at supporting the development and adoption of the Move-based layer-1 blockchain ecosystem. Aptos, which utilizes Facebook’s Move programming language, strives to bridge the gap between decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional institutions in the finance and business sectors. The newly formed Ankaa accelerator fund will be managed by Aptos, OKX Ventures, and Alcove, Aptos’ existing accelerator. The primary focus of the fund will be on projects centered around DeFi, real-world assets, gaming, social platforms, and artificial intelligence. Aptos has previously collaborated with significant players such as Microsoft, Brevan Howard, and SK Telecom to provide institutional access to DeFi. In a further boost to decentralized app development, Aptos has integrated Chainlink’s CCIP and Data Feeds.
