Ripple Sets Sights on Japan: BD Role Available, VP Emi Yoshikawa Reveals
In a bold move to expand its presence in Japan, Ripple has announced the opening of a key position dedicated to driving the adoption of the XRP Ledger. Emi Yoshikawa, Ripple’s VP of Strategic Initiatives, made this announcement on her X (formerly Twitter) account, calling for talented individuals to join their team.
Ripple is actively seeking a business development manager who will spearhead the promotion of XRP Ledger to Japanese companies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest and passion for Web3 and cryptocurrencies, as well as relevant experience in business development. It is preferable for candidates to be based in Tokyo, have flexible schedules, and be able to attend Web3-related events in person.
Yoshikawa emphasized that this opportunity offers an exciting chance to be involved in Web3 business development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. She also highlighted the importance of curiosity and interpersonal skills in this role.
This latest initiative follows Ripple’s expansion efforts in Canada, where they opened several positions with a focus on B2B development. Ripple’s longstanding ties with SBI, a leading fintech giant in Japan, have positioned them as a significant player in the Japanese remittances market.
Adding to Ripple’s momentum in Japan, SBI VC Trade, a subsidiary of SBI, has been announced as a validator for the XRP Ledger blockchain network. This move not only contributes to the integrity and decentralization of the XRP Ledger but also enhances the security of its transactions.
With the XRP price experiencing a 1.21% increase today, trading at $0.5051 on major spot exchanges, Ripple’s strategic push into Japan signifies their confidence in the market and their commitment to driving the adoption of XRP Ledger in the region.
