Ripple Devs Unleash Meme Challenge to Celebrate 2023’s Finale

Ripple Developers Launch Unique Meme Challenge to Commemorate the Finale of 2023

As the year 2023 draws to a close, Ripple and its vibrant developer community have plenty of reasons to celebrate and embrace the power of memes.

To cap off an eventful year, RippleX has announced an exciting and imaginative challenge for its developers and community members, aiming to end 2023 on a high note.

Dubbed the #builtonXRPL Challenge, this fun competition invites participants to unleash their creativity by creating a meme that showcases their project while incorporating the #builtonXRPL badge. The lucky winners will have the opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the prestigious Apex Developers Summit.

In a recent tweet, RippleX reminded its developers to submit their best memes for the #builtonXRPL social challenge before the time runs out, generating a sense of urgency and excitement among the community.

Looking back at the progress made in 2023, it becomes evident that the XRP Ledger has witnessed significant advancements, and the upcoming year holds even greater promises.

Notably, Ripple CTO Joel Schwartz authored a visionary report titled “RippleX 2024: A Visionary Outlook into the Future of Blockchain,” indicating that the Cross-Chain Bridge Amendment for XRP Ledger will undergo the voting process in 2024. This pivotal development opens up new possibilities and opportunities for the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

One of the major highlights enabled by the Cross-Chain Bridge is the introduction of the XRP Ledger EVM-compatible sidechain, a collaboration between Ripple and Peersyst. This groundbreaking addition establishes a vital connection between the XRP Ledger and the Ethereum ecosystem, further enhancing interoperability and functionality.

Receiving validation from industry experts, the XLS-38 bridge and the EVM sidechain underwent individual audits conducted by leading security firm Bishop Fox. This thorough inspection ensures the utmost security and reliability of these essential components.

Looking ahead, RippleX has ambitious plans to integrate DID (Decentralized ID) capabilities into the XRP Ledger through the proposed XLS-40 amendment. By introducing DID capabilities, XRP Ledger aims to revolutionize privacy, security, and overall financial innovation, marking a significant step forward.

Ending the year on a resounding note, XRP Ledger achieved an exceptional milestone. According to XRPScan, on December 30, 2023, the network processed a record-breaking 6.8 million transactions per day, surpassing the previous high of nearly 5 million transactions per day recorded in November 2021.

The future is bright for Ripple, its thriving developer community, and the XRP Ledger as they continue to push boundaries, foster innovation, and harness the power of memes to engage with their enthusiastic supporters. 2024 holds great promise as RippleX and its partners strive to revolutionize the blockchain landscape.
