- Tate earned them from pornography and human trafficking
Romanian prosecutors are expanding charges against Andrew Tate and his alleged associates. They suspect the group of human trafficking, sex crimes and distribution of pornography.
In parallel, authorities are demanding the confiscation of 21.080508 BTC and other cryptocurrency. The assets are held on an unnamed exchange. Also subject to confiscation are 15 lands and real estate in Romania, 15 luxury cars, 14 luxury watches, 2 gold bars and cash savings.
Andrew Tate has U.S. and British citizenship. A former martial arts master gained popularity as a scandalous blogger. He is known for his misogynistic and chauvinistic statements.
Romania arrested Tate last year on suspicion of human trafficking. The indictment also includes the blogger’s brother Tristan Tate and two Romanian citizens. The defendants face up to 13 years in prison.
The document lists the names of seven alleged victims who were recruited by the Tate brothers. Criminals lured women by promising them a loving relationship. And then intimidated, held in a Romanian mansion, and forced to star in pornographic videos.
The defendants are currently under house arrest. If the court grants the prosecutor’s request, Tate and his accomplices will be behind bars – at least until the court rules.
