Ryder Ripps has been ordered by a federal judge to pay Yuga Labs a total of $9 million as a result of the final judgment in their lawsuit. Initially, Ripps and Jeremy Cahen were hoping for a massive payout of $100 billion in their lawsuit against the NFT company. However, the judge ruled in favor of Yuga Labs, and now Ripps and Cahen are obligated to pay the significant sum, which includes disgorgement of profits, penalties, attorneys’ fees, and other costs. The judge also stipulated that Ripps and Cahen must transfer all infringing intellectual property, such as NFTs, domain names, and smart contracts, to Yuga Labs within two weeks. Both parties involved in the case have yet to comment on the judgment.
