Shiba Inu enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation after a cryptic tweet from Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. The tweet featured an image of a dog looking at two oranges on a suitcase with the caption “pawsitively prepped for the next chapter!” This enigmatic message has sparked speculations that Binance may soon support Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 scaling solution.
According to some SHIB supporters, this tweet suggests that Binance could enable users to deposit and withdraw assets via the Shibarium blockchain. Additionally, there is speculation that Binance may offer incentives related to other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens like BONE and LEASH. Community members, such as ‘Sand’ and Japanese figure Kuro, have taken to social media to express their excitement and create and reinterpret images to include Shibarium and the aforementioned tokens.
It’s not just Shiba Inu fans who are hopeful for support from Binance. Supporters of other dog-themed tokens, such as Pawswap (PAW), also believe that the exchange could extend its support to their favorite tokens.
In addition to the excitement surrounding potential Shibarium support, Shiba Inu enthusiasts have been urging Binance to support SHIB burns. Community members have suggested burning SHIB tokens from various exchanges, including Binance and Coinbase. Although Binance has not yet responded to these requests, the recent cryptic message has sparked speculation about the exchange’s plans regarding SHIB burns using a portion of its trading fees.
If Binance were to support SHIB burns, it could significantly reduce the number of tokens in circulation. Data from Shibburn indicates that over 410 trillion SHIB tokens have already been destroyed through burns, leaving a total supply of 589.27 trillion tokens. The burn rate has increased by 30.4% in the past 24 hours, with 844,269 SHIB burned.
As Shiba Inu enthusiasts eagerly await clarification from Binance, the possibility of support for Shibarium and SHIB burns has sent the community into a flurry of anticipation and speculation.
