Shiba Inu Team Advocates for SHIB Integration in X Payments
In the lead up to the launch of X Payments, Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, is making a case for why SHIB should be included in the service.
Members of the Shiba Inu community have initiated a campaign to push for the integration of SHIB into Elon Musk’s X payments feature.
X recently took a significant step towards the launch of its payments service by creating a dedicated account for it. This development has sparked speculation within the crypto community that the service may support cryptocurrencies and traditional currencies.
While there has been no official confirmation about whether X Payments will support cryptocurrencies, Shiba Inu community members are actively advocating for the inclusion of SHIB in the upcoming service.
Today, Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, took to the X platform to explain why SHIB deserves to be supported on X Payments. She highlighted the high level of engagement that SHIB records daily as a reason for its inclusion.
Lucie’s tweet gained support from other Shiba Inu community members, garnering over 200 likes, 58 reposts, and 21 comments thus far.
Although explicit details about X Payments have not been provided, there is optimism within the crypto community that the service will support cryptocurrencies, given Musk’s interest in emerging assets. Tesla, under Musk’s leadership, previously added Bitcoin and Dogecoin as payment methods in its merchandise store, and X included crypto assets in its price index service.
Given Musk’s and X’s affinity for cryptocurrencies, it is likely that digital assets will be supported on X Payments.
