Shiba Inu Team Says You Can’t Quote RYOSHI And Cry For Burns

Shiba Inu Team Emphasizes the Importance of Community Involvement in SHIB Burns

In response to concerns about SHIB token burns, a Shiba Inu official has shared a resurfaced message from Ryoshi, the founder of SHIB, highlighting the community’s role in the process.

Lucie, a prominent figure in the Shiba Inu team’s social media efforts, addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding SHIB token burns, which have caused some unease among community members.

Back in December 2023, the Shiba Inu crew initiated the burning of SHIB tokens using gas fees generated from the Shibarium blockchain. Over a five-week period, they successfully eliminated over 43 billion tokens in five phases.

However, the team has not conducted any burns since early January, raising concerns among the community. In response, Lucie shared a message from Ryoshi that reminds community members of their responsibility in the growth and development of Shiba Inu.

Lucie quoted Ryoshi as asking, “What have you done for Shib’s growth? How much have you burned?” This statement aims to encourage community members to consider their contributions before criticizing the development team.

People who have never used #Shibarium and are whining about #SHIBARIUM burns 🤭 Really?!

It’s a community effort—you can’t quote Ryoshi and on the same day cry, “Dev, do something!”

So, before you throw stones, ask yourself, as Ryoshi said, ‘What did you do for Shib’s growth?…

The Shiba Inu team has consistently emphasized the importance of community involvement in the growth and utility of Shibarium. They believe that increased usage of Shibarium will lead to more transaction fees, which can be allocated towards token burns. Although the previous burns were done manually, plans are underway to implement an automated system.

In response to those frustrated by the pace of SHIB burn, the Shiba Inu representative suggested taking action oneself and contributing to the ecosystem’s development: “If you’re not happy with what the Shiba ecosystem does, then do it yourself. Burn and develop better tools.”
