Solana Foundation has partnered with the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), one of the free trade zones in the United Arab Emirates. According to the announcement of October 15 , Solana will provide technical and business support to any DMCC Crypto Center member through its blockchain platform. The company will also host webinars and educational courses on various Web3 topics and extend the existing grant program at DMCC.

According to the center’s CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem, existing Solana partners will in turn receive preferential treatment at the DMCC. The DMCC ecosystem’s list of partners also includes crypto exchange Bybit, digital asset marketer DWF Labs, Web3 incubator TDeFi, venture fund Brinc and a number of other organizations, and the center’s total membership officially stands at 23,000 companies.

Along with the Abu Dhabi Global Market and the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, DMCC is one of the first three free trade zones established in the UAE to improve the investment climate. The trio will soon be joined by the Ras Al Khaimah Digital Asset Oasis, unveiled during Blockchain Life 2023. By September 2023, the Solana network was ranked 10th in the world by TVL of $359 mln.
