Solana Mobile announced that over 60,000 pre-orders have been placed for the highly anticipated Saga Chapter 2 smartphone. The company expressed gratitude to its incredible community for their unwavering support and belief in the vision. The official Twitter account of Solana Mobile shared this news, highlighting the growing excitement surrounding the upcoming release.

The official announcement for Saga Chapter 2 took place on January 16, 2024, with the company expecting to receive 30,000 pre-orders within the first week. However, the overwhelming response from users resulted in reaching the 60,000 mark within just three days.

Solana co-founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, expressed his delight at the warm reception from the community regarding the upcoming smartphone release. It is impressive that the manufacturing company achieved such a significant number of pre-orders in less than three weeks since the announcement.

Saga Chapter 2 will operate on the Android operating system and offer users a built-in crypto wallet and decentralized application store. The initial price of the device is set at $450, which is significantly lower than the starting price of the first Saga model, which was $1000 before dropping to $599.

On February 6, 2024, at 21:00 Kyiv time, a snapshot of the referral program leaderboard for pre-ordering the smartphone will be taken. The top 1,500 participants will receive a non-transferable Element NFT, while those not in the top rankings will be rewarded with a Chapter2 token. The Incrypted team is also actively participating in the program and offering their link for others to pre-order Saga Chapter 2.

It remains unknown if the smartphone’s price will increase after the snapshot and whether it will affect the airdrops that device owners might be eligible for, according to various communities. Additionally, it was previously reported that Solana smartphones were being resold on eBay for as high as $5,000.
