Spain residents holding any cryptocurrencies on platforms not registered in the country will have to declare assets by March 31, 2024.
Spain’s tax administration agency Agencia Tributaria announced the introduction of a new tax return form to report the movement of virtual assets by the country’s citizens on foreign crypto platforms.
The tax agency explains: individual and corporate taxpayers are required to declare the full amount of funds held in any crypto accounts abroad as of December 31, 2023
