Study Finds 36% of Cryptocurrency Projects Neglect Content Marketing

According to analyst agency Guerilla Buzz, about 36% of cryptocurrency projects have stopped publishing content for their marketing promotion in 2023.

Researchers analyzed about 1,000 crypto projects. The methodology included checking sites for blogs and counting the number of articles published in recent years.

As of April 2023, 35.8% of the cryptocurrencies studied had not published a single article on their site that year, and 49.7% had written more than two articles.

About 84.8% of companies blog on social media platform Medium, 10.4% write content on their main site, and 4.7% publish no content at all.

BNB Chain was the leader in blogging, publishing 59 new articles this year. In second place was Polygon, which specialists presented 36 new materials. They are followed by Cardano with 12 posts.

However, companies are focused only on creating hype around their digital assets and quickly attracting investors, rather than a long-term marketing strategy for development, such as SEO promotion.

Guerilla Buzz analysts concluded that many industry companies are not prioritizing content marketing, which could significantly impact their future success.

Recall that last year, trading platform Coinbase suspended its marketing program to attract new users in the U.S. in order to cut operating costs amid the decline of the crypto market.
