Switzerland News: the PostFinance competition offers three bitcoins as prizes

Switzerland News: PostFinance Contest Offers the Chance to Win Bitcoins

Switzerland’s PostFinance has launched a new competition that gives users the opportunity to win bitcoins. The contest, which runs until April 30, 2024, requires customers to invest at least $100 in one of the 11 cryptocurrencies available through their PostFinance account. Three bitcoins are up for grabs, and winners will be selected through a draw. Participants can choose to invest in the cryptocurrencies through a single order or a cryptocurrency savings plan. To participate, individuals can access the contest via the PostFinance app or their e-finance account.

The move by PostFinance reflects the rising popularity and value of Bitcoin, which has recently set new all-time highs, reaching above $73,000. PostFinance has been involved in the cryptocurrency world for some time, launching an app called Yuh in May 2021 that allows users to invest in 13 selected cryptocurrencies, among other features. The app is a collaboration between Swissquote and PostFinance, aimed at providing mobile banking and investment services.

PostFinance has also partnered with Swiss Stablecoin (SSC) to promote the development of the digital franc, a stablecoin backed 1:1 with the Swiss franc. The partnership aims to create a proof-of-concept for the stablecoin and explore its potential use cases. PostFinance is a founding member of the Cardossier association, which is also involved in the development of the stablecoin.

The competition offered by PostFinance not only highlights the growing interest in cryptocurrencies but also demonstrates how traditional financial institutions are incorporating digital assets into their services.
