Telegram Gaming Token Notcoin (NOT) Surges Nearly 160% This Week To Reach a New All-Time High

A revolutionary altcoin, known as Notcoin (NOT), has experienced a remarkable surge of nearly 160% in value this week, reaching a new all-time high. The cryptocurrency is intricately linked to a viral game on the encrypted messaging platform Telegram.

Launched on May 16th, NOT serves as a community token for the immensely popular Telegram-based tap-to-earn mining game called Notcoin. The asset attracted significant attention after being added to Binance’s Launchpool platform, which enables users to stake coins for the purpose of farming new assets.

Notcoin boasts an impressive on-chain holder count of over 1.6 million, surpassing other renowned memecoins such as Shiba Inu (SHIB), Bonk (BONK), and Pepe (PEPE).

Based on the TON blockchain, which was initially developed by Telegram, the token has gained momentum despite the messaging platform’s separation from the chain in 2020 due to a legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Open Network, consisting of an open-source developer community, assumed management of the technology.

Even after the split, Telegram’s 700 million users can still effortlessly send TON within the platform without the need to enter lengthy wallet addresses.

At the time of writing, NOT, ranked 80th by market capitalization, is being traded at $0.0127, a significant increase from its value of $0.00489 just seven days ago.
