Telegram wallet announces TON network is fully operational after second outage

Telegram Wallet has announced that the TON network is now fully operational after experiencing a second outage. The network faced issues due to the overwhelming stress from DOGS transactions, which caused transactions to be paused for almost four hours. Exchanges like Bybit suspended deposits and withdrawals via the TON network as a result. The TON Foundation dev confirmed that the outages were caused by network overload from DOGS transactions. However, Telegram Wallet recently announced that the TON network is now back up and running, and TON-based asset withdrawals and deposits in the wallet will be credited in due course. Despite the recent network troubles, Toncoin’s price has shown positive momentum, with a recovery back above $5.60 after dropping to $5.15 during the first outage. Toncoin recorded an all-time high of $8.25 in June and is up by over 7% in the last 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. Meanwhile, DOGS experienced a significant price drop but saw a pump amidst the broader market crash, likely triggering stress on the TON network. The upcoming launch of Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token and airdrop on September 26 is expected to further stress the TON network due to the game’s popularity.
