The developers have launched a new Colosseum platform for the development of the Solana ecosystem

  • Colosseum, a new organization, is set to revolutionize the Solana ecosystem by hosting hackathons, launching an accelerator, and establishing a venture fund.
  • The Solana Foundation will kickstart the innovation with a hackathon in March 2024, to be held on the Colosseum platform.

Unveiled by the development team, the Colosseum incubator platform is dedicated to fueling the growth of the Solana ecosystem and nurturing startups within it.

Matty Taylor, the co-founder of Colosseum and former leader of the Solana Foundation, explained that the platform integrates hackathon events, an accelerator, and a venture fund.

He emphasized the necessity for a fresh approach to supporting startups in light of the rapid growth of the Solana ecosystem. As a result, Colosseum will organize hackathons and actively promote blockchain-related projects.

The inaugural event for the platform will be a hackathon hosted by the Solana Foundation on March 4, 2024. Prospective participants must register on Colosseum for a chance to take part.

Taylor explained that the hackathon aims to attract not only developers but also specialists from various fields who can find their teams and bring their ideas to life.

The winners of the hackathon will proceed to the next phase of collaboration with Colosseum through participation in the accelerator program. The team behind Colosseum expressed their dedication to preparing Ukrainian startups for the hackathon.

On January 30, the Incrypted YouTube channel will stream an interview with the Kumeka Team, providing an opportunity for viewers to ask team members additional questions.

It is worth mentioning that in 2023, the Solana ecosystem boasted over 2,500 actively contributing developers on a monthly basis.
