According to the platform, the number of active addresses updated the monthly maximum of 15.2 million, set in January 2023. Compared to November, this figure increased by approximately 50%.
The absolute maximum was set in April 2021, when the number of active addresses in the network approached 40 million.
Additionally, Solana is seeing a surge in new addresses. In December, this figure reached 6.8 million, while the previous annual record of 6.6 million addresses was set in May 2023.
Over the past 30 days, the value of the SOL token has increased by more than 100%, according to TradingView. At the time of publication, the asset is trading near $113.
The number of locked funds in smart contracts (TVL) of the Solana network is also growing. At the time of publication, the project’s TVL exceeded $1.47 billion, according to DeFiLlama.
