Uniswap Emerges as the Leading DEX with Surging Web Traffic: Phoenix Report
A recent analysis conducted by Phoenix Group has revealed that Uniswap has emerged as the top decentralized exchange (DEX) in terms of web traffic in the last month. This comprehensive study sheds light on the distribution of web traffic across various popular DEX platforms, highlighting notable shifts in activity levels and regional preferences.
Despite a Decline, Uniswap Dominates the Field
Uniswap, a prominent DEX built on the Ethereum network, garnered the highest number of total visits, recording a staggering 2.8 million visits last month. Although it experienced a 24.8% decline in traffic compared to the previous month, Uniswap managed to maintain its lead. With an average of 4.45 page views per session, the platform attracted significant traffic from countries such as the United States, India, and Brazil, underscoring its global popularity and influence.
PancakeSwap Holds Strong in Second Place
PancakeSwap, a DEX operating on the Binance Smart Chain, secured the second-largest web traffic with 1.2 million visits. Despite a 16.7% decrease in traffic this month, PancakeSwap has managed to retain a stable user base. Its average page views per visit stood at an impressive 5.81, indicating high user engagement with the platform.
Sushi Maintains Stability in Third Position
Sushi, another prominent player in the DEX space, witnessed 869,000 visits last month, experiencing a 21.1% drop in traffic. However, with an average of 5.21 pages viewed per visit, Sushi demonstrated strong user interaction.
Raydium Faces the Steepest Decline
Among leading DEXs, Raydium, which operates on the Solana network, encountered the most significant decrease in traffic, with a 35.0% drop. The platform recorded 864,000 visits, with users viewing an average of 4.52 pages per visit.
Notable Growth for 1inch
While overall web traffic to DEXs has experienced a slight dip this month, the 1inch exchange has reported a remarkable 69.9% increase in monthly visits, reaching a total of 598,000. Users of the platform viewed an average of 6.04 pages per visit.
Osmosis and Other Platforms
Osmosis, a DEX linked to the Cosmos ecosystem, received 223,000 visits but encountered a 25.3% decline in traffic. Another lesser-known platform, LFJ, witnessed a significant drop of 45.7%, with a total of 210,000 visits. QuickSwap, on the other hand, received 198,000 visits, representing a 25.7% increase compared to the previous month. Balancer experienced a decrease in visits, with 88,100 unique visits, reflecting a 23.9% decline from the previous month.
These statistics clearly illustrate the volatility and fluctuating levels of interest and usage of decentralized exchanges on a global scale. Nevertheless, Uniswap continues to dominate despite the decline in activity, highlighting the growing significance of DEXs in the cryptocurrency market, even as user behaviors shift on a monthly basis.
