Watch Out: Scammer Who Disappeared Years Ago With $60 Million Launches New Altcoin

Beware: Scammer Who Vanished Years Ago With $60 Million Releases New Altcoin

The notorious Anubis hacker has reemerged following a three-year absence and has unveiled a fresh cryptocurrency that has already witnessed an astounding 153x surge in value. The token, ANKH, garnered significant attention within the crypto community, but caution is urged due to the hacker’s history of disappearing with the accumulated ETH.

In a twist of events, the token launch has already sparked a scandal. It has been alleged that the seed phrase for the token’s contract address has been leaked, allowing anyone to mint unlimited ANKH and reduce its value to zero.

In 2021, investors raised the alarm when the AnubisDAO project founders allegedly swindled a staggering $60 million USD worth of ETH. Despite lacking a website, the project managed to amass significant investment through their Discord server and recently activated Twitter account. AnubisDAO claimed to be a fork of OlympusDAO, a decentralized reserve currency backed by bond sales and liquidity provider fees.

The Copper platform facilitated the token sale for AnubisDAO on October 28, 2021, with participants exchanging ETH for ANKH tokens to be distributed at the sale’s conclusion. The sale generated tremendous interest, amassing $60 million in ETH in under 24 hours.

However, the enthusiasm was short-lived. Just twenty hours after the sale, a shocking incident occurred, resulting in the mysterious withdrawal of 13,597 ETH from the token sale pool, which was then transferred to an unknown address.
