Anomalously high trading volumes have been observed in a selection of altcoins on Upbit, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea. The altcoins that have garnered attention for their unusual trading volumes are Tezos (XTZ), Chiliz (CHZ), Theta Fuel (TFUEL), Aave (AAVE), and Wax (WAXP).
Tezos (XTZ) exhibited a significant surge in trading volume on Upbit’s 4-hour chart. The recent volume of $146,000 marked an 85.39% increase compared to the average volume of $79,000. Conversely, trading volume on Binance experienced a 59.8% decline, dropping from an average of $625,000 to $254,000.
Chiliz (CHZ) also witnessed a notable spike in trading volume on Upbit. The 4-hour average volume of $9 million skyrocketed by a staggering 145.74% to reach $21 million. On Binance, the trading volume rose from $9 million to $11 million, a relatively modest increase of 14.87%.
Theta Fuel (TFUEL) displayed a remarkable surge in trading volume on Upbit’s 1-hour chart. The average 50 1-hour volumes of $1 million surged by 170.39% to nearly $3 million. Trading volume on Binance also experienced an increase, climbing from an average of $803,000 to $1 million.
Aave (AAVE) witnessed a tremendous surge in trading volume on Upbit’s 1-hour chart. The average volume of $488 skyrocketed to $2,000, representing a staggering increase of 424.67%. However, trading volume on Binance decreased by 62.18%, dropping from an average of $2,000 to $891.
Lastly, Wax (WAXP) experienced a significant surge in trading volume on Upbit’s 1-hour chart. The average 50 1-hour volume rose from $9 million to $23 million, reflecting an increase of 154.85%. Trading volume on Binance increased from $3 million to $4 million, a modest rise of 34.02%.
