The WhiteBIT cryptocurrency exchange opened access to tickets for the Ukraine vs. England soccer match two days before the official sales launch. The Ukrainian national team will face England on September 9 at the Tarczyński Arena Wroclaw in Wroclaw, Poland. On September 12, the Ukrainians will play the Italians at the San Siro stadium in Milan.
The first time crypto exchange WhiteBIT implemented the option to buy tickets for cryptocurrency was in May 2023 for the match Ukraine vs. Malta. Such an option became available thanks to Whitepay’s digital payment connectivity option.
WhiteBIT said that the goal of such initiatives is the widespread adoption of blockchain technology, which makes payments and transfers more convenient and faster.
WhiteBIT is one of Europe’s largest centralized crypto exchanges hailing from Ukraine, founded in 2018. It offers users more than 350 trading pairs and around 270 digital assets. The highest average daily trading volume is over $2.5 billion. The company is an official partner of the Ukrainian national soccer team, FC Barcelona, Lifecell, FACEIT and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
In June, it became known that the cryptocurrency exchange plans to enter the Polish market. WhiteBIT and Visa signed a memorandum of partnership in early August.
