Without these three changes Ethereum will fail – Vitalik Buterin

  • The Ethereum co-founder has published a new article
  • In it, he highlights the “transition” phases needed to further Ethereum
  • Booterin also stressed the importance of UX

On Friday, June 9, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin published a new article in his blog. In it, he highlighted three critical important changes in the ecosystem without which further blockchain development will be impossible.</nbsp;

These are:

  • L2 scaling (rollups);
  • Smart-contract wallets;
  • preserving privacy as network tools evolve.

“Ethereum is slow to grow because each transaction costs $3.75 ($82.48 in the new bull market) and every mass consumer-facing product takes a centralized approach,” Buterin emphasized.</nbsp;

In terms of the wallet issue, the Ethereum co-founder believes that in the ZK era, they not only have to protect user data for authorization, but also store it.</nbsp;

In terms of privacy, Buterin complained that users tend to choose centralized solutions. The reason for this is that service providers can provide at least a semblance of privacy.

The final step is to create an infrastructure that takes into account all of the above, but also focuses on UX. Only then will Ethereum be able to grow further and expand its audience reach.

We previously covered EDCON 2023. At the conference, Buterin talked about the same things, including rollups and account abstraction.
