“Within seven days of launch, the number of weekly active World App users tripled and the number of weekly accounts created grew more than 10 times,” the company said.
From January through July 2023, World ID registrations grew from one million to two million.
“The doubling of weekly World ID registrations last week demonstrates the steady growth in global demand for the World App as a standalone product,” the project added.
The number of weekly World ID confirmations around the world has increased by more than 100 percent since launch, indicating a surge in demand, the company said.
Worldcoin plans to expand by enabling governments and businesses to use its iris scanning and identity verification technology.
Meanwhile Kenyan police searched Worldcoin’s Nairobi office and seized company documents, sending them to the country’s Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) headquarters for further verification.
