XRP and Shiba Inu have emerged as the top performers on Grayscale’s list of best-performing cryptocurrencies. In the past week, XRP saw a remarkable surge of 43.7%, pushing its year-to-date returns to 2.8% with a market cap of $34 billion. This surge was attributed to the celebration of Judge Analisa Torres’ decision, which declared XRP a non-security and sparked rumors of a potential settlement between the SEC and Ripple. However, XRP’s weekly gain has since declined to 16.97%.
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu, the second best-performing token on the list, witnessed a weekly gain of 13.6%. This gain was fueled by the relief rally across the broader crypto market. Despite a significant downturn caused by hackers dumping stolen SHIB into the market, Shiba Inu has recovered most of its losses and currently trades at $0.00001789, reflecting a daily growth of 2.24%.
Other cryptocurrencies in the top 10 rankings with substantial weekly positive gains include Dogecoin, Cardano, Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Binance Coin, and Tron. These assets saw returns ranging from 1.7% to 13.3%. The only asset with a negative weekly return was Toncoin, which experienced a -1.7% loss.
