XRP Community Joins Ripple’s Christmas Celebration: Report

XRP Community Celebrates Ripple’s Success during Christmas Festivities

Ripple Labs has brought holiday cheer to the crypto community by reflecting on its successful journey and compliance with regulations. As 2023 draws to a close and 2024 approaches, Ripple is grateful to its community for their support.

In December 2020, Ripple faced a lawsuit from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) alleging unauthorized security offerings amounting to $1.3 billion. However, after a lengthy battle, Ripple achieved a significant victory in July 2023 when a judge ruled that XRP was not a security.

In October, the SEC dropped charges against Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Co-Founder Chris Larsen, further bolstering Ripple’s position. The XRP community, known as the XRP Army, celebrated the company’s growth, while Ripple expressed its appreciation, stating:

“As the year comes to a close, we want to express gratitude to our partners, customers, and you, our community, for your support. From all of us at Ripple, wishing you a season of joy, and a remarkable road ahead in 2024!”

The festive post received numerous comments from the community, joining in Ripple’s celebration. XRP attorney John Deaton also reminisced about the SEC lawsuit on Christmas Eve three years ago. In response, Deaton decided to fight back and was joined by approximately 75,000 XRP holders. Deaton expressed his gratitude to these supporters, saying, “Merry Christmas to the 75K XRP holders who joined me.”
