Hackers used Mira Murati’s Twitter account to draw the attention of her followers to a scam simulating an ERC-20 OPENAI token giveaway from a popular artificial intelligence platform. To this end, the attackers posted a phishing link and the address of a fake cryptocurrency wallet.

Hackers succeeded in banning comments on the news, preventing the community from reporting the scam in time. The fraudulent post from Mira Murati’s account was viewed 79,600 times and retweeted 83 times before being deleted.
Yesterday, June 1, the Discord Orbiter Finance server suffered a similar attack, after which attackers also posted a link to a fake token-giving program on the platform’s page.
