Cardano’s Upcoming Update Compared to Disney Theme Park Operators by Web3 Technologist

Vanessa Harris, the head of development at Finder and a knowledgeable Web3 technologist, recently drew an interesting analogy to describe the forthcoming update of the Cardano blockchain’s key consensus protocol.

According to Harris, this upgrade is similar to the innovative work of Disney theme park operators.

The anticipated update aims to enhance the efficiency of resources utilized by nodes by enabling inactive nodes to perform calculations between blocks, which can then be merged in the subsequent block, resulting in a tenfold increase in transaction speed.

In Harris’s analogy, amusement park operators are always prepared to launch the merry-go-round, enabling visitors to hop on immediately without wasting any time.

Similarly, the Cardano Ouroboros Leios update activates previously inactive nodes to compute between blocks, ensuring that there are no idle resources in the Cardano park, irrespective of the number of visitors.

The result of this approach is a significant increase in transaction speed, according to Harris, a specialist in the field of Web3 technologies.

Blockchains with the UTXO model are the only ones capable of achieving such a transformation, and they can boost the speed of confirmations by dozens of times.

Harris previously predicted significant growth for Cardano by 2030, and she is convinced that this new update will bring about a monumental transformation in the speed and efficiency of the blockchain’s transactions.
