Compliance with OFAC Regulations Drops to 27% for Ethereum Transactions

According to analytics site Mevwatch.info, the percentage of Etherium blocks whose transactions comply with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has dropped to 27%.

Transaction compliance is ensured by an open-source software module called MEV Boost.

The module validates transactions and offers validators only those blocks with all transactions that meet regulatory requirements.

The module works with multiple organizations that verify the legitimacy of transactions.

As recently as November of last year, the percentage of Etherium blocks that passed OFAC regulations was as high as 80%.

This was due, among other things, to the blocking of the addresses of the popular Tornado Cash mixer. However, later the rate began to decline.

In February, the percentage of blocks on the Etherium network complying with OFAC restrictions dropped to 47%.
