Cryptoblogger Ben Armstrong: Legal problems are forcing me to stop streaming

After encountering financial challenges and legal issues, the former host of the popular YouTube channel Bitboy Crypto has decided to cease his daily streams on cryptocurrencies.

Ben Armstrong bid farewell to his followers on the social media platform X, citing conflicts with former colleagues and corporate partners that had eroded his credibility.

“The daily live broadcasts on cryptocurrencies have been an integral part of my life. For three years, we shared laughter and joy, Monday to Friday, with only rare exceptions. We weathered market crashes and celebrated bull trends together. It has been epic, and I will miss you all,” Armstrong wrote.

Shortly thereafter, the renowned crypto-influencer posted a ten-minute video on YouTube, disclosing the reasons behind his departure from streaming. Armstrong explained that he could no longer afford the financial burden of daily performances, which cost him $25,000 per week. Additionally, he revealed that he had been spending approximately $100,000 per month on legal fees.

“We are barely digging ourselves out of this hole, guys. Lawyers are coming at me from all directions. Everyone I know is now keeping a close eye on me,” Armstrong admitted.

At present, the blogger is embroiled in a legal battle with the Hit Network, which distanced itself from Armstrong in August of last year. During a live broadcast on YouTube, he was even arrested by the police after prohibited substances were found in his car. A few months ago, Bitboy Crypto informed subscribers that he feared for his life after supposedly uncovering a network of cryptocurrency money launderers.

While Ben Armstrong had always been a vocal supporter of the XRP coin, in October he made a surprising declaration, branding himself as the “Sultan of Solana,” causing quite a stir within the community.
