According to analysts from Whale Alert, the Tron network has just set a new record for the total number of transactions processed, with over five billion completed.
This achievement was shared on social media by experts who stated,
“Tron has now surpassed 5,000,000,000 transactions, reaching an impressive milestone!”
Tron (TRX) is a decentralized platform designed by entrepreneur and developer Justin Sun in 2017, which enables the creation of decentralized applications (dApps).
Currently, TRX ranks among the top 15 cryptocurrencies in terms of capitalization, with a market cap of approximately $6 billion, far behind its main competitor, Ethereum, with a market cap of about $192 billion.
As per Binance, TRX is currently trading at $0.06743. Recently, TRX and some other cryptocurrencies experienced a decline in value due to the situation with Silvergate.
