Bitcoin mining complexity exceeded 50 trillion hashes for the first time

After another recalculation of bitcoin mining difficulty, the figure increased by 3.4% to 51.23 Tx. That’s a record. For the first time, the complexity of BTC mining has exceeded 50 trillion hashes.

Complexity recalculation took place on Thursday night on block 792,288. Two weeks earlier, the difficulty of mining was also increasing. On May 18, the figure rose by 3.22% to 49.55 terakhesh.

Bitcoin’s mining complexity grows along with the first cryptocurrency’s network hash rate to keep block mining time within 10 minutes. Bitcoin’s average network hash rate last week reached 366.47 eps. Two weeks ago it was 354.5 ech/sec.. At the time of publication, the hash rate is 374.62 eps.

Apparently, major mining companies continue to install new bitcoin mining equipment, so the first cryptocurrency’s network hashrate is growing. At the same time ASIC-mainer manufacturers continue to develop more and more powerful devices. For example, Canaan recently introduced the A1366I with immersion cooling. A little earlier, the manufacturer MicroBT showed three new models of ASIC-mainers for mining BTC at once.
