CleanSpark plans to acquire two mining companies for $9.3 million

Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark intends to buy two mining facilities in Dalton, Georgia, for $9.3 million.</div

The facilities will house more than 6,000 Bitmain Antminer S19 XP and S19J Pro+ devices. The acquisition is expected to increase the company’s hash rate by 1 Eh/c.

CleanSpark plans to reach a capacity of 16 Ehc/s by the end of 2023. The new facilities “will provide more than enough infrastructure for that,” said CEO Zach Bradford.

In May, CleanSpark contracted to buy 12,500 Bitmain Antminer S19 XP devices for $40.5 million. The company’s fleet of equipment now totals 67,700 units. The firm has mined 2,395 BTC since the beginning of this year, which is $64.6 million at current exchange rates.

In February of this year,  the firm’s management said it was ready to expand its business through mergers and acquisitions.
