Jordan Peterson Advocates Bitcoin as an Alternative to Central Bank Digital Currencies

Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson called BTC the only alternative to money in a world dominated by central bank digital currencies and suggested storing IQ test information in a Bitcoin blockchain.

Jordan Peterson, a well-known Canadian psychologist and political commentator, said this in an interview with entrepreneur Brian Roemmele discussing artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.

Peterson said bitcoin could protect the public from the tyranny of governments imposing their own digital currencies on the world.

Unlike CBDC, bitcoin is decentralized and not subject to control by bureaucrats, so the first cryptocurrency can be used both to save savings and as a means of payment, Peterson said.

His interlocutor Remmele added that Bitcoin can also be used for communications.

He explained that the network of the first cryptocurrency encrypted almost unlimited amounts of data, and this decentralized information can be perpetuated.

Unlike traditional bank transfers, transaction data in Bitcoin’s open blockchain is immutable because it is stored on tens of thousands of nodes scattered around the world;

Peterson called this an undeniable advantage of Bitcoin:

“The Bitcoin network could be used as a repository of information on IQ tests taken to assess people’s general cognitive abilities.

The test results will be stored securely on the Bitcoin network, and no one will be able to fake them,” Peterson said.

Recall that earlier Changpeng Zhao, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, also spoke out about the “immortality” of blockchain technology.

He stated that it will never again be “wiped off the face of the Earth,” and bitcoin will not be destroyed, despite any attempts by regulators.
