LunarCrush Plans to Send 62 BTC to the Moon with SpaceX Rocket

LunarCrush, a cryptocurrency firm, has revealed plans to send 62 BTC, codenamed Nakamoto 1, to the moon via a rocket that will contain a private key to a crypto wallet.

The bitcoin stash will be available to the first person who lands on the moon, and the key will be engraved on the Lunar Outpost MAPP rover.

The initiative is aimed at inspiring people to create networks that will usher in a new era of exploration, according to Joe Vezzani, CEO of LunarCrush.

The wallet, which currently contains about $1.7 million worth of bitcoins, is guaranteed to be safe by the company, and even its employees will not know the code.

The wallet is public, allowing anyone to deposit cryptocurrencies into it. MAPP, which will be placed near the south pole, will be sent to the moon and will remain in the hands of interested off-world crypto miners after its mission is completed.

Lunar Outpost’s director of strategy, Forrest Meyen, believes that seemingly fantastic ideas can lead to the discovery of previously unexplored territories beyond human consciousness.

Meyen argues that future generations will see us as pioneers of interplanetary exploration and adventure.
